LIVING IN MONTGOMERY ALABAMA

I had been receiving calls and emails from Britt about the housing market for a few years. When I decided to move to be. Loser to my family, I contacted Britt to list my house. He was very knowledgeable about the area, and everything that goes with selling/buying houses. He gave me referrals for repairs required on my house, assisted me in finding a new house, referred me to a great company for financing. In 2012 I retired from the Mami-Dade County Aviation Department, after 30 years of service. We moved to Cape Coral, Florida for a slower pace and a home on the water. Twelve years later, we found the pace of life had picked up considerably. Taxes, insurance, and the general cost of living had skyrocketed, as did the traffic and congestion, in general. We began our search for a new home in a relatively calm area, lower taxes and insurance, and a lower cost of living. We looked at South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama. The most difficult part of looking for a home out of state, is finding the right realtor to guide us through the process. We didn’t have much luck at first. While every realtor we contacted was excited and willing to work with us, they didn’t really listen closely to what we were looking for in a home. After a short time they became rather aggressive, emailing us house after house with no rhyme or reason. Then, one day, my wife was watching YouTube videos of places to live in Montgomery, Alabama. That’s when we found Britt Dowling! We watched all his videos on Montgomery, Pike Road, Prattville, Millbrook, etc. He was very knowledgeable, professional, low key and easygoing. We gave him a call and drove up from the Ft. Myers, Florida area to meet him. The rest is happy history. Over the next several weeks, he helped us find a great area in Prattville. Eventually, we sold our Florida home, packed our belongings and moved up to Prattville. Two days later we found our perfect house, closed without a hitch and now we’re beginning the next stage of our lives in Prattville, Alabama! Britt handled everything. Took us step by step through the whole process and made the complicated parts very easy. Overall, the purchase and closing was a breeze. He even worked with our realtor in Florida to transfer our proceeds from Florida to the title company here in Montgomery. He stayed by our side, helping us all the way through the final closing process. There were no problems, no surprises, no stress. We love Britt and if we ever hit the lottery, he will be our realtor when we buy our castle in Europe!!! We trust him that much. Thanks Britt.
